about

Imbolc is a Celtic word which translates to "in the belly." It is a traditional marking of time concerning the halfway point between the winter solstice and vernal equinox.

It was during this downtempo time of year that I found the inspiration for this instrumental album.

Much of my inspiration for the sound of this album was in the attempt to create music that was good to use while cooking in the kitchen. I paired 4 songs with recipe videos that you can see on my youtube channel.

released November 13, 2020

I played most of the instruments and recorded and mixed the album. Special guests include Austin Hoke on cello, Christian Sedelmyer on violin, and Roland Barber on trumpet, trombone, and flugelhorn. Mastered by Dave McNair.
